About us
Community Women Development Center is a national level NGO established to address gender inequality, reproductive health of women, children and work for the empowerment of youth, women and girls. CWDC believes that, for Nepal to become a more democratic and to achieve development, it must give women equal access to resources and decision-making opportunities. Hence, gender equality is fundamental in achieving human health, good governance, economic growth and development.

Thematic Work:
The focus is on quality education, promoting saving and credit programs, improving water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), and empowering women socio-economically. It also aims to enhance livelihoods through income generation and marketing, support good governance, democracy, and gender equality, encourage modern and organic farming practices, and strengthen disaster risk management in the face of climate change.

Focusing on inclusion of disadvantaged communities, advocacy for justice, human rights, peace, and democracy, and ensuring meaningful participation of marginalized groups. Empowering individuals to claim their rights, building capacity through leadership and skill development, and fostering coordination with government agencies at all levels. Promoting transparency and accountability in information sharing.
